End your week on a peaceful note. 

The practice of Yin yoga is based on ancient Chinese philosophies and Taoist principles which postulate that there are pathways of energy (Qi) that run through our bodies.  By stretching and deepening into poses we open up blockages and allow energy to move more freely. 

Yin postures target deep connective tissues (fascia, ligaments joints and bones) alternately compressing and releasing the tissues over longer periods (1-5 minutes) enhancing fluid exchange - thereby improving nutrition and bringing vitality to these deep tissues. 

The long held postures of Yin yoga are meditative and teach us to breathe through discomfort and sit with our thoughts. Plan on leaving this class relaxed and refreshed!
