Class length
60 minutes

Yin Yoga for Emotional Balance is a nourishing practice designed to support emotional harmony through grounding, reflection, and gentle opening. This class focuses on the Hara (belly center), the Liver Meridian, and the Heart Center with the intention of cultivating self-awareness, kindness, and compassion for ourselves and others.

In Chinese medicine, the Hara is considered the “center of centers” — the seat of our intentionality and our home ground. By grounding here, we anchor ourselves to the earth and create a stable foundation from which deeper emotional balance can emerge. From this place, we gently explore the Heart Center, understood as our internal seat of connection, joy, forgiveness, and compassion. It is said that grounding in the Hara should precede heart-opening practices, allowing openness to arise safely and sustainably.

We will begin with a grounding Hara meditation, followed by yin postures that stimulate the liver and heart meridians, supporting emotional flow and release. Throughout the practice, we will take time to explore and consciously set intentions, recognizing that compassionate intention-setting creates the conditions for healing and wholeness.

The class will close with a heart-opening posture, a loving-kindness meditation, and an extended Savasana, leaving you feeling balanced, supported, and deeply at ease.
